Reputation Management

Have you Googled or Binged yourself lately? If not, do it now. My name is not common, but if yours is, add your field or city to the search.

Like what you saw? Hopefully, you control the content that’s showing up in the first 10 slots of the coveted page one of the search results. Now check out 3-4 more pages. Other sites might write about you, but make sure it’s positive. For example, here’s a link to an article Matt Reichbach wrote about me. It’s not my site, but it’s a positive blurb…

Unfortunately for many, the results provide nothing–or in the worst case–they provide information to sites where unethical competitors or pranksters are posting false or negative information about you.

By creating profiles on the more popular social media sites (and other networking sites), you can help boost your ranking…

Other positive actions to take include having your own website, blog, and a “business card” or “Follow Me” Page. We here at Drake can help manage all your online reputation needs!

You won’t be able to remove the negative sites–if there are any–but you can help to “push” them down in the results. Make sure you claim your spot on the Web and control what others are reading about you! This is what reputation management is all about!
